The Colorado Annual/Periodic Report

In order to maintain your business in Colorado it is required you a periodic report. All Colorado LLCs, Corporations, Partnerships, and nonprofits should complete one.

Remember that this process must be completed in one sitting, and you cannot use the “back” button on your browser.

The first step is to enter the Colorado Secretary of State website and click on “Periodic Report Filing” on the business home page. This button redirects you to a page where you will type the business name or the ID number.

If you perform a search, you will see a list of companies from which to select. If any information is incorrect or out of date, do not worry. The next screens allow you to update your business address, mailing address, registered agent and more.

After you have completed this information, if you selected “Additional Individuals are Causing Delivery of the Periodic Report” in the previous step, you will be redirected to a screen in which you can attach a document with the required information.

The attached document should include the first names, last names, and addresses of each person. If the person is not in the country, then you have to specify the country and the region from which they are working from.

When you complete this click “Continue” to preview the document. Read it carefully and ensure the information is correct, if is it not click on “Return to Form” and make the changes that are necessary.

Click on “Accept” next and enter your payment information. VISA, MasterCard, and American Express are valid credit cards. When you do this click on “Pay Now” and it will be completed, do not click it more than once or the amount will be charged more than once to your card.

A warning message will show that you are leaving the safe part of the website, don’t worry and click on yes, a message will be shown confirming the report was filed successfully.

In order to confirm, you can see the in the “History of your Business” tab, here you can download it and print it if you want physical confirmation.

Sometimes the website show an error message which says that your time is over, do not redo the process again unless it doesn’t appear in the “History of your Business” tab.
